👋 Introduction

TaskTitan ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the TaskTitan mobile application (the "App").

The short version: almost all your data stays on your device. We don't run servers that store your personal information.

📦 Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Your name — entered during onboarding. Stored locally on your device only, never transmitted to us.
• Tasks — your task titles and completion status. Stored locally on your device only.
• Focus session count — number of completed focus sessions. Stored locally on your device only.

Information collected automatically:

• Advertising data — Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and usage patterns to serve relevant advertisements. This is handled entirely by Google and subject to their privacy policy.

🎯 How We Use Your Information

• Personalise your experience (displaying your name in greetings)
• Track your focus sessions and task progress locally
• Display advertisements via Google AdMob to support the free version
• Improve app performance based on anonymous crash reports

💾 Data Storage & Retention

All personal data (name, tasks, session count) is stored exclusively on your device using Android's DataStore. We do not operate external servers that store your personal data.

Your data is retained until you either clear the app's data from your device settings or uninstall the app, at which point all data is permanently deleted.

📢 Advertising (Google AdMob)

TaskTitan displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process the following to serve ads:

• Device advertising ID
• IP address
• App usage information
• Device information (model, OS version)

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via: Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation on your Android device.

🔒 Data Security

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Using a screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face unlock)
• Keeping your Android OS up to date
• Not sharing your device with untrusted individuals

👶 Children's Privacy

TaskTitan is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.

⚖️ Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access — all your data is visible directly within the App
• Delete — clear app data via Android Settings → Apps → TaskTitan → Clear Data, or simply uninstall the app
• Opt out of personalised ads — via Google Settings on your device

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
